The difference between a spa and a certified hospital

The stretch along OMR has many places offering Ayurvedic massage. Most have no doctor on the premises, which is the distinction that matters when your complaint is a disc, a thyroid imbalance or a pregnancy rather than a stiff shoulder.

Here, consultations are with a registered BAMS physician (Reg. No. 2095). Therapies are prescribed after an assessment, not chosen from a price list. Medicines are compounded in-house from classical formulations with every ingredient named, so another doctor can check them against what you are already taking.

A few therapies are genuinely unsafe for some patients — sudation in certain cardiac conditions, several procedures in pregnancy, oleation during an active Amavata flare. Knowing which, and refusing them, is what the certification is for.

Government-certified, hygienic facilities, female therapists throughout for women’s treatments, free on-site parking, and open every day of the week from 10 AM to 8 PM.
